Rhode Island, 1761

On the eve of his next voyage, a young sailor in the British Navy steps into a seaside tavern and finds himself drawn, hook, line, and sinker, into the town’s local legend - the phantom Hesperus and its ill-fated captain. By the flicker of lantern light and in the company of sailors older than salt, the tavern’s alewife spins a tale of love, loyalty, and sacrifice. Time unspools alongside a gathering storm; past and present blur, and the legend’s buried truths rise to the surface as, after all, the sea has a way of returning things long since lost.

Featuring music by Purcell, Schubert, Maude Valerie White, and more, Sea Fever is a candle-lit voyage of longing, lore, & the siren song of the sea.

FAQ’s

  • No need! Once you've purchased tickets, your name and party number will be on our list at the door.

  • Seating for all Valkyrie Productions is on a first-come-first-serve basis. For Sea Fever, guests will have the option of a typical audience seat, or with their party around one of our tavern tables.

  • Approximately 90 minutes with a brief intermission.

  • Doors open at 7:15 PM, and our story begins at 8:00 PM. Arriving early gives you time to grab a drink and settle in.

    Street parking, including a limited amount of handicap spaces, is available along the Narragansett sea wall.

  • Ticket discounts are available upon checkout for Students (with valid ID) , Seniors, Veterans, and Active Duty service members. Tickets are on us for the parties of any guest undergoing cancer treatment.

  • The Towers have an elevator from the ground floor directly to the performance space. We want every guest to feel comfortable and welcome - please don’t hesitate to contact our team regarding accessibility accommodations at valkyrieproductionsri@gmail.com.

  • Sea Fever is intended for adults and teens. Due to some darker folklore themes, we kindly recommend ages 12+.

  • Yes! A cash bar will be available before the show and during intermission.

  • For Sea Fever, we encourage guests to dress smartly.

  • All sales are final, but if you contact us at least 48 hours before the show, we’ll do our best to transfer to a different date, or pass along to a friend.
